COVID-19 Update As Of June 14: 8,189 New Cases, Accumulated 1,919,547 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 69,314 specimens were examined with the result that there were 8,189 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1919,547 people and today's active cases have increased by 1,809 to 115,197 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, June 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 6,143 cases, bringing the total to 1,751,234 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 237 people and a total of 53,116 people.

The province with the newest cases was DKI Jakarta with 2,722 cases and a total of 450,793 cases. Followed by West Java which has 1,532 new cases with a total of 330,472 cases. Central Java has 1,400 new cases and a total of 217,084 cases. Then, DI Yogyakarta has 428 new cases and a total of 49,179 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 1,753 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,034 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 647 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 546 recovered cases.

Two provinces reported no new cases today. Provinces that reported zero new cases were West Kalimantan and Gorontalo.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 17,973,499.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 20.22 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 111,747 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Currently, 20,424,048 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11,615,562 of the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
