Indonesian Sailors Have the Opportunity to Join the Xingtong Fleet through the PMSol Cooperation

PT Pertamina Marine Solutions (PMSol) officially entered into two strategic partnerships with a Chinese shipping company, Xingtong Shipping Co., Ltd.

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Marine Solutions (PMSol) has officially established two strategic partnerships with Chinese shipping company, Xingtong Shipping Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary, Quanzhou Xingtong Fuxing Crew Management Co., Ltd. This cooperation is an important step in strengthening international maritime collaboration while opening wider opportunities for Indonesian sailors to pursue careers in the global market.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding (Memorandum of Understanding/MoU) took place in Xiamen, China. The agreement includes maritime business cooperation with Xingtong Shipping Co., Ltd. as well as the provision and management of crew with Quanzhou Xingtong Fuxing Crew Management Co., Ltd.

Director of PT Pertamina Marine Solutions, Joko Pramono, said the collaboration was an important milestone because it was the first cooperation between PMSol and a Chinese shipping company. According to him, this partnership reflects the increasing confidence of international partners in PMSol's ability to provide global standard maritime services.

He explained that the cooperation not only opens opportunities for Indonesian sailors to join international fleets, but also expands collaboration on various maritime services, ranging from crew provision, ship management, safety management, ship inspection, ship operations, to the development of digital solutions and supply chains.

"We appreciate the support of PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) and PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) who have paved the way so that this strategic cooperation can be realized. In the future, PMSol will continue to expand global partnerships to strengthen the position of the Pertamina Group as a competitive maritime player at the international level," he said.

Through cooperation with Quanzhou Xingtong Fuxing Crew Management Co., Ltd., PMSol will act as a partner to provide Indonesian crew for Xingtong's tanker fleet. The cooperation covers the recruitment, selection, training, and placement of crew.

The two companies will also develop a database and talent pool for Indonesian sailors, conduct performance evaluations, develop career development, provide digital solutions for crew management, and exchange information on the development of the maritime industry.

Meanwhile, cooperation with Xingtong Shipping Co., Ltd. includes the provision of Indonesian crew, ship management services, safety management, ship inspection according to international standards, ship operations, to cooperation in the supply chain of ship equipment.

Xingtong Group is one of China's leading chemical shipping companies, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Quanzhou. Currently, the company operates 52 bulk liquid chemical tanker vessels with a total capacity of around 725,900 deadweight tons (DWT), and is known to have a good track record in terms of shipping safety.
