Man Found Dead with a Knife on the Balcony of a Kuningan Hotel in Jakarta

JAKARTA - A man with the initials WH (47) was found dead and found to have a firearm (senpi) on the balcony of a hotel room in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta on Wednesday (15/7) evening.

"This gentleman is staying at a hotel. Then at the hotel he was accompanied by a witness. Then it was checked that yes he died," said Head of Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Joko Adi, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 17.

Joko said the man had a domestic problem with his wife.

He revealed that WH as a husband felt guilty in the relationship, so he and his wife were trying to improve the relationship.

"Initially, the husband felt wrong with his wife, then that day, in fact, the communication was good with his wife, and they intended to improve," he said.

Until finally, the man decided to stay at the hotel and was escorted by a driver who was then in the parking lot.

Not long after, the wife came to the hotel because she had just received an apology from her husband.

"Yes, that's it, I apologized. Then WA, then, the wife was suspicious, the wife came to the hotel," he said.

The police, who also received a direct report, came to the crime scene and helped evacuate the body.
