JAKARTA - A bloody clash involving a group of unidentified people (OTK) occurred in the parking area of King Karaoke, Jalan Diponegoro, Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, Sunday, July 5, in the early hours. The incident resulted in one person being killed and two others injured, including a TNI member who was stabbed.

The victim who died was known as T (53), a resident of Binanga Village. The victim breathed his last at Bhayangkara Hospital Mamuju due to heavy bleeding after suffering a stab wound to the left hand and a stab wound to the upper left abdomen.

Meanwhile, two other victims were injured. K (41), a member of Kodim 1418/Mamuju, suffered two stab wounds in the back and is now undergoing intensive treatment at Mitra Manakarra Hospital. Another victim, D (24), a resident of Karema Village, suffered injuries and pain in his left shoulder.

The moments of the clash were recorded by surveillance cameras (CCTV) around the location. The recording shows a group of people coming on a motorcycle before getting into an argument which then led to a fight in the parking area of the nightclub.

Based on the results of the initial investigation, the police suspect that the clash was triggered by an alleged persecution that had occurred earlier inside the nightclub. Victim D admitted that he had been beaten by someone while at the location.

Hearing the news, D's family came to the location to find out what happened. However, the heated situation turned into a physical confrontation. In the incident, T was found lying in a pool of blood in the parking area before being evacuated to the hospital.

After conducting a crime scene (TKP) and examining a number of witnesses, the Resmob Team together with the Rapid Response Unit (URC) of the Mamuju Police moved to pursue. The police then arrested a young man with the initials MAF (20), a resident of Karema Village, who was suspected of being the stabbing perpetrator.

In addition to securing the MAF, officers also seized a sharp-edged weapon of the type used to injure the victims.

Head of Public Relations of Mamuju Police, Iptu Herman Basir, confirmed the arrest. According to him, the alleged perpetrator has admitted his actions while undergoing an examination.

"The perpetrator was successfully identified with the initials MAF. After we secured and interrogated him, the person concerned admitted that he had stabbed the two victims using a machete," said Herman.

However, the police are still investigating the main motive behind the bloody clash. Investigators are also continuing to collect evidence and examine a number of witnesses to uncover the chronology in full.

"The complete motive and chronology are still being investigated through intensive examinations. After all the examination process is completed and the complete evidence is complete, we will immediately officially convey it to the public," said Herman.
