JAKIM Held This Weekend, Dishub Prepared Massive Engineering until JLNT Antasari Closed

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Office (Dishub) has prepared traffic engineering on a number of major roads in the capital during the implementation of the BTN Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) 2026 on June 13-14. In fact, the Non Toll Elevated Road (JLNT) Antasari will be closed during the implementation of the international running event.

Traffic arrangements are carried out to support the smooth running of the race while maintaining the mobility of people who pass through the affected areas.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Office Budi Awaluddin said traffic engineering would be applied on a situational basis according to the movement of participants on the race track.

"We have prepared traffic engineering, diversion, and alternative routes on a number of roads that are crossed by marathon participants. Our community is urged to adjust travel time and choose alternative routes that have been prepared so that activities continue to run smoothly," said Budi in a statement, Thursday, June 11.

On Saturday, June 13, the 5K and 10K categories took place from 03.00 to 07.30 WIB. Meanwhile, on Sunday, June 14, the Half Marathon 21K and Marathon 42K categories were held from 03.00 to 11.00 WIB.

For Saturday's implementation, traffic arrangements were made on the Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Gatot Subroto segment of Simpang Susun Semanggi to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, and the Pintu 7 and Pintu 10 areas of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).

The alternative routes prepared on Saturday, June 13 are as follows:

a. Traffic from North (Harmoni) to East (Menteng) via MH Thamrin Street-Imam Bonjol Street and so on;

b. Traffic from the South (Block M) to the North (Tugu Tani) via Jalan Trunojoyo-Jalan Senopati-Jalan Suryo-Jalan Kapten Tendean-Jalan Terusan Rasuna Said-Jalan HR Rasuna Said-Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto-Jalan Dr GGS Ratulangi-Jalan Menteng Raya and so on;

c. Traffic from the South (Block M) to the North (Harmoni) via Panglima Polim Street-Kyai Maja Street-Pati Unus Street-Pakubuwono VI Street-Hang Lekir II Street-Hang Lekir I Street-Asia Africa Street-Youth Gate Street-Gatot Subroto Street-KS Tubun Street-Jatibaru Raya Street-Abdul Muis Street-Majapahit Street and so on;

d. Traffic from the East (Menteng) to the West (Tanah Abang) via Jalan Imam Bonjol-Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on;

e. Traffic from West (Tanah Abang) to East (Manggarai) via KH Mas Mansyur Street-RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo Street-Galunggung Street-Sultan Agung Street and so on;

f. Traffic from the East (Manggarai) to the North (Harmoni) via Jalan Sultan Agung-Jalan Galunggung-Jalan RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III-Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II-Jalan RM Margono Djojohadikoesoemo-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on;

g. Traffic from the West (Tanah Abang) to the South (Block M) via Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Penjernihan I-Jalan Tentara Pelajar-Jalan Gelora-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Hang Tuah Raya-Jalan Kyai Maja and so on;

h. Traffic from West (Tanah Abang) to East (Kampung Melayu) via Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Jalan Prof DR Satrio and so on;

i. Traffic from the East (Kampung Melayu) to the West (Tanah Abang) via Jalan Prof DR Satrio-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on;

j. Traffic from the East (Cawang) to the South (Block M) via Jalan Kapten Tendean-Jalan Wolter Monginsidi-Jalan Trunojoyo and so on;

k. Traffic from Jalan Pattimura to GBK Stadium via Jalan Sisingamangaraja-Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Pati Unus-Jalan Pakubuwono VI-Jalan Hang Lekir II-Jalan Hang Lekir I-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan and so on;

l. Traffic from the South (Block M) to the GBK Stadium via Jalan Kyai Maja-Jalan Pati Unus-Jalan Pakubuwono VI-Jalan Hang Lekir II-Jalan Hang Lekir I-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan and so on;

m. Traffic from the GBK Stadium to the South (Block M) via Pintu Satu Senayan Road-Asia Africa Road-Hang Tuah Raya Road-Hang Tuah X Road-Pati Unus Road-Kyai Maja Road and so on.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, June 14, traffic engineering will be wider because the Half Marathon and Marathon track crosses the downtown area to South Jakarta.

The affected roads include Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Medan Merdeka Selatan, Medan Merdeka Timur, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Underpass Mampang, Jalan Mampang Prapatan Raya, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Prof DR Satrio, Jalan Senopati, Jalan Pattimura, Underpass Pattimura, Jalan Sultan Hasanudin, Jalan Iskandarsyah Raya, Jalan Prapanca Raya, Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Semanggi, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda to the GBK area.

Dishub also closed JLNT Antasari from north to south and vice versa during the event.

To anticipate traffic congestion, Dishub has prepared dozens of alternative routes for people who will pass through the Harmoni, Menteng, Kampung Melayu, Tanah Abang, Manggarai, Pancoran, Blok M, Cipete, Mampang, Pejaten areas to the Senayan and GBK areas.

In addition to traffic engineering, Dishub has prepared 19 pocket parking points in the GBK and Monas areas with a capacity of 3,964 four-wheeled vehicles and 11,015 two-wheeled vehicles.

Transjakarta operations will also undergo adjustments. On Saturday, there are 22 modified routes from 05.00 to 08.00 WIB. Meanwhile, on Sunday there are 44 modified routes from 05.00 to 11.00 WIB.

Budi appealed to the public to use public transportation during the 2026 Jakarta International Marathon.

"We invite BTN Jakim 2026 participants to use public transportation such as Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and Commuter Line. In addition to being more practical, the use of public transportation also helps reduce traffic congestion around the activity location," said Budi.

DKI Police, TNI and organizers will place officers at a number of strategic points to help manage traffic and provide information to the public during the event.
