BANJARMASIN - The candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan, Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Darjat, has opened an option to sue the results of the re-voting (PSU) for the South Kalimantan gubernatorial election to the Constitutional Court.

"After discussing and exchanging ideas with coalition parties, volunteers, and legal counsel, we chose the option of filing a lawsuit on the results of the PSU to the Constitutional Court," said Denny accompanied by Difriadi at a press conference in Banjarbaru, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 9.

Denny Indrayana said that the option to file a lawsuit against the PSU results to the Constitutional Court had been carefully considered by considering the amount of support and trust that the community had entrusted to them through the South Kalimantan Pilkada.

He emphasized that the amount of support and trust from the community will continue to be fought for until the last drop of blood, so that he was chosen to challenge the results of the PSU, whose figures are still tentative.

"We apologize to all supporters and the people of South Kalimantan who have chosen us. We will fight for this great mandate according to the principles of Waja Until Kaputing, fighting to the end," he said.

He said that through a lawsuit that would be submitted back to the Constitutional Court regarding the results of the PSU, it would be the last step and whatever results and decisions would be respected as a result of the democratic process.

"After the Constitutional Court's decision later, whatever the results and decisions we will accept and no other process is planned to be the next stage after the release of the results of the Constitutional Court trial," he said.

He explained that the lawsuit to the Constitutional Court was also a form of responsibility to maintain the mandate entrusted by the people of South Kalimantan according to the statement that there were no transactions in any form after the re-election.

"We believe that the voice of the people must be respected and according to our previous statement, there was no transaction, so through the Constitutional Court we are struggling to convey the mandate that has been given to the people of South Kalimantan," he said.

Denny Indrayana, his party already knows the results of the PSU's temporary votes from three regions namely Banjarmasin City, Banjar Regency and Regency but are still waiting for the official results.
