Vice President's Wife Selvi Ananda Opens a Series of Activities for the 80th Anniversary of the Kartika Chandra Kirana Association

JAKARTA - The warm, festive atmosphere, and full of cultural nuances colored the opening of the 80th Anniversary of the Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana with the theme "Persit Can" which was carried out by the Wife of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Selvi Ananda Putri at the Kartini Hall Expo, Jakarta, Thursday.

This activity is an important momentum for Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana in strengthening its role as an active, productive, adaptive, and continues to make a real contribution to the TNI AD family, society, and nation as a companion of a strong state servant.

The series of events began with the opening by the host, followed by a joint prayer as an expression of gratitude for Persit's long journey for eight decades.

The atmosphere became more solemn when a thematic video was shown which described Persit's efforts in supporting the TNI AD program, strengthening the resilience of the soldiers' families, and contributing to community empowerment.

The important moment in the opening was marked by the welcome of the General Chair of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Ny. Uli Simanjuntak, which was then followed by the official opening by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Selvi Gibran Rakabuming Raka accompanied by the General Chair of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana and the General Chair of Dharma Pertiwi.

The symbolic procession of beating the gong marked the official start of the "Persit Bisa" activities. This moment not only presents a ceremonial impression, but also symbolizes the spirit of Persit to continue to move, work, and benefit the community.

The excitement of the event was felt even more with the special appearance of singer Joy Tobing, the first Indonesian Idol, who performed national songs and the song "Persit Bisa". The performance aroused a sense of love for the country, pride as part of the TNI AD family, and Persit's spirit to continue working for the nation.

Carrying the theme "Sulam Peniti", the opening of the 80th Anniversary of the Persit also presents the richness of the Nusantara culture as part of the nation's identity.

The cultural atmosphere was felt from the beginning of the activity, showing that Persit is not only an organization that accompanies soldiers, but also plays an active role in maintaining, introducing, and boasting Indonesia's cultural heritage.

The event was also enlivened by a Sulam Peniti Padang fashion show from the XX/Tuanku Imam Bonjol District through a collection titled "Simpulan Harmoni."

The fashion show showcases the beauty of traditional Indonesian fabrics and also serves as a space for the expression of creativity, cohesiveness, and empowerment of the skills of Persit members.

In his statement, the Chairman of the KCK Persit explained that the theme "Persit Bisa" is an invitation for all Persit members to continue to improve their quality.

"Persit not only accompanies soldiers in family life, but also becomes a moral force that helps maintain the spirit of dedication. With the theme 'Persit Can', we want to emphasize that Persit women are able to adapt, work, and provide benefits for others," said Uli Simanjuntak, launching the information from the Indonesian Army Public Relations Service (8/5).

One of the invited guests said he was proud to be able to participate in the activity.

"This event gives us new energy. Persit can be a place to learn, work, and strengthen each other," he said.

The activity was then continued with a review of the exhibition booth by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia together with the General Chairperson of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana and invited guests. The review was an opportunity to see firsthand various flagship products of the work of Persit members that reflect creativity, independence, and love for the culture of Nusantara.

The opening of "Persit Bisa" is a picture of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana continues to exist beyond time as a strong, cultured, caring, and empowered women's organization.
