The Government Ensures that the Recruitment Process for the Red and White Village Kopdes Managers Does Not Have an "Ordal" Path

Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Food and Agriculture Zulkifli Hasan reiterated that the government ensured that the recruitment process for managers of the Red and White Village/Village Cooperative (KDKMP) and the Red and White Fishing Village Cooperative (KNMP) was transparent, free, and free from the practice of entrustment or "ordal".

Zulhas conveyed this in a press statement, Monday, May 4. Zulhas admitted that there was a surge in fraud in the name of the Red and White Cooperative program, including the spread of fake links to requests for money to applicants.

Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that the entire registration process was only carried out through one official channel and was not charged in any form. Zulhas ensured that the recruitment process for KDKMP and KNMP managers did not have a special channel or appointment, including through government officials.

Zulhas emphasized that if there is a request for money, it is certain that it is a fraud and asks to report to the law enforcement. Furthermore, the government explained that the establishment of KDKMP and KNMP is part of the national strategy to strengthen the rural economy in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's directions.

This program is designed to cut the long distribution chain while acting as a buffer for commodity prices at the farmer level. Zulhas added that the distribution of government assistance in the future will be integrated through this cooperative so that it is more targeted.

For information, the government has opened as many as 35,476 formations consisting of 30,000 KDKMP manager positions and 5,476 KNMP employees. The high public interest is seen from the number of applicants which reached hundreds of thousands of people.

Until the closing of the registration on April 25, 2026, a total of 639,730 applicants were recorded, with 487,819 people completing the administrative files. Of these, 483,648 applicants were declared to meet the administrative requirements.
