West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) asked the opinion of the National Businessmen Association (Hiswana) for Oil and Natural Gas (Migas) in order to complete the evidence for handling two cases of alleged hoarding of fuel oil (BBM).
Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Fx. Endriadi said that the request for an opinion was part of the process of determining the case.
"Currently, the investigation team is coordinating with oil and gas experts from Hiswana Migas and will conduct a case title," he said in Mataram, Monday, quoted by Antara.
He explained that the two cases were revealed in the East Lombok Regency and Sumbawa Regency. For the case in East Lombok related to the activity of selling Pertalite type fuel oil in retail without a permit, while in Sumbawa related to the alleged hoarding of around 800 liters of solar fuel.
According to Endriadi, the hoarding of solar fuel in Sumbawa was suspected to be carried out to be sold again at a higher price to fishermen on Bungin Island.
The NTB Police handled the case through the Food Task Force (Satgas) involving various related elements.
"We are conducting strict supervision, and if there are indications of criminal activity in the field, we will certainly follow the procedure," he said.
