JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto expressed condolences for the loss of life and injuries in a train accident in the area of East Bekasi Station, Bekasi City, West Java. Prabowo emphasized that he would invest in the accident.

Prabowo revealed that the government would immediately overcome the railway crossings that were not guarded. He admitted that the Bekasi City Government (Pemkot) had proposed the construction of a flyover.

"Bekasi is crowded, yes, and the need for the train is very important, very urgent. So I have agreed to immediately build a flyover directly by the president's help," he said.

At the Bekasi City Hospital, 50 train accident victims were treated. Other victims were also treated at Primaya Bekasi Hospital, Bella Bekasi Hospital, and Mitra Keluarga Hospital.

President Director of PT KAI, Bobby Rasyidin, revealed that the deceased victim is currently seven people and 81 others are injured. Meanwhile, three victims are still being evacuated because they are still trapped inside the KRL.

Bobby explained that all the injured victims had been evacuated and received medical treatment at nine hospitals in the Bekasi area. Some of them, namely Primaya Bekasi Hospital, Bekasi City Hospital, Bella Bekasi Hospital, and Mitra Keluarga Hospital.
