Land in Bogor City Limited, DPRD Promotes Vertical Housing Regulation

BOGOR - The Bogor City DPRD officially determined the Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) Initiative on Housing in the plenary meeting, Wednesday, April 15. This regulation is a strategic step to encourage the development of vertical housing in the midst of urban land constraints.

The establishment of the Raperda is intended as a legal umbrella for the development of planned and affordable apartment houses, especially for low-income people (MBR).

Chairman of the PKS Faction of the Bogor City DPRD, Karnain Asyhar, called this policy an important milestone in the direction of city development which is beginning to shift to a vertical concept.

"This is a legislative commitment to strengthen the efforts of local governments to present equitable housing solutions, especially for MBR," said Karnain.

He emphasized that the Raperda not only regulates physical development, but also emphasizes sustainable and comfortable housing governance for residents.

"What we encourage is not just buildings, but also legal certainty, comfort, and sustainability in its management," he said.

The DPRD hopes that this regulation can encourage collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community, as well as increase investor confidence in the development of vertical housing.

In addition, the Raperda Rumah Susun is also expected to be an instrument for arranging dense residential areas so that they are more orderly, healthy, and in line with the vision of sustainable development of Bogor City.
