The Ministry of Home Affairs and Jasa Raharja Support the Transformation of Regional Tax Services

National Coordination Meeting for Regional Revenue Management in 2026 held in Jakarta.

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) together with Jasa Raharja support the transformation of regional tax services through digitization, data integration, and strengthening collaboration to increase compliance, collection efficiency, and the quality of public services.

"The importance of mutual commitment from all parties to be able to monitor regional revenues so that they are more optimal," said Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs Agus Fatoni in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday, as quoted by Antara.

He emphasized this in the National Coordination Meeting for Regional Revenue Management in 2026 held in Jakarta, entitled "Acceleration of Transformation and Implementation of Regional Tax Collection and Regional Retributions".

According to him, this is an opportunity to strengthen synergy, innovation, and collection effectiveness to support the increase in regional revenue and the quality of public services.

Agus said that things that could be done to monitor regional income so that it is more optimal are the intensification of regional revenue sources, the expansion of the management of sources that have not been optimized, the improvement of human resources, the digitization of work systems, and innovation so that performance increases.

He assessed that the presence of various parties in the meeting reflected a common commitment that the state was present in ensuring that the management of regional revenue ran optimally, transparently, and sustainably.

Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin emphasized the company's role in the regional revenue management ecosystem, especially through strengthening compliance with Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Compulsory Contribution to Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ).

Awaluddin said that his party played a role as an enabler or facilitator in encouraging compliance through data integration and technology utilization.

"Jasa Raharja integrates vehicle registration data with PKB and SWDKLLJ payments in real-time, develops an analytical system to identify potential non-compliance, and presents an early warning system so that interventions can be carried out earlier," he said.

Furthermore, he added that a data-based approach is key in creating a system that not only emphasizes obligations, but also ease and trust.

"Compliance is not only formed by obligations, but also by how the system we build is able to provide ease, connectivity, and trust on an ongoing basis," he said.

Through this role, Jasa Raharja also strengthens cross-sectoral coordination with the Police, Regional Revenue Agency, and Samsat partners throughout Indonesia.

The implementation of the host-to-host system that has been connected in 36 provinces is an important foundation in ensuring data validity and increasing collection effectiveness.

This effort is in line with the spirit of digital transformation which is driven by the government and the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem in strengthening adaptive and service-oriented SOEs governance.

In addition, as an organizer of Jasa Raharja accident insurance, the company continues to present service innovations that provide convenience for the community while strengthening basic protection for road users.

"This commitment is realized through various initiatives that focus on improving the quality of public services with the principle of serving wholeheartedly," he said.

He also emphasized his party's participation in the meeting as a commitment from Jasa Raharja to continue to innovate and collaborate in supporting the strengthening of the regional revenue management system.

"Cross-sectoral synergy is expected to be able to encourage sustainable compliance, as well as provide more effective, transparent, and community-oriented public services," said Awaluddin.
