Food Security Strengthened, Polda Metro Jaya Distributed 37 Thousand Fish Seeds at Muara Gembong

JAKARTA - To follow up on President Prabowo Subianto's program in maintaining food security, the Metro Jaya Police distributed fish seeds at Tambak Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency, on Saturday, April 18.

Head of Metro Jaya Police, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, said that the distribution of fish seeds was the second stage, where the first stage for the supply chain of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPBG) had been harvested.

"Currently we are entering the second phase of seed distribution, where we spread 21,000 Nila Mujair fish, then 16,000 Bandeng fish," said Dean Eko Purwono, quoted from ANTARA.

In addition, according to the Dean, at the location, the Metro Jaya Police also planted 8,000 watermelon seedlings, then 100 mango trees, and also harvested 1,000 eggs (grains) which will be distributed to SPBG, as well as to help the surrounding community in terms of food security.

Previously, the Deananto had also checked the Greenhouse SPBG Palmerah, where there were bioflocs and also the planting of seed sowing of several commodities to support the SPBG.

"As well as the food security program, among others, Pakcoy vegetables are 180 kg, then there are 120 kg of Sawi, then 120 kg of Lettuce, and there are also several fish, including Tilapia, Catfish, and Patin," said the Dean.

The dean of the police added that the Metro Jaya Police, under the direction of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, would ensure that it would support President Prabowo Subianto's program, namely in food security and food independence.

Meanwhile, Zaeni Siddiq, as a farmer and land owner, has cooperated with the Polda Metro Jaya in order to support President Prabowo Subianto's program in terms of food security and food independence.

"This program for the surrounding community is very helpful, such as absorbing labor, as well as the harvest that has been contributed to the community," said the Dean.
