Prabowo Arrives in Moscow to Meet Putin, Will Focus on Energy Sector

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Moscow, Russia, Monday morning local time. During his visit this time, the head of state is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The plane carrying Prabowo landed at Vnukovo-2 Airport at 07.45 local time.

Prabowo was greeted by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, Director of the State Protocol Department of Russia Igor Bogdashev, Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Jose Tavares, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Moscow Marsma TNI Budi Susilo.

During his stay in Moscow, Prabowo is scheduled to meet Putin to discuss strengthening Indonesia-Russia relations, especially in the energy sector.

The Indonesian government considers Russia as one of the important partners in bilateral relations and strategic cooperation. This visit by the head of state is also part of efforts to maintain the relationship that has been established.

Previously, President Prabowo made a working visit to Moscow with the main agenda to meet President Vladimir Putin. The head of state flew from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Sunday, April 12, 2025, at 23.10 WIB.

During the flight, the President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
