JAKARTA - The Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, visited the Al Aqsa Mosque complex in the occupied Old City of East Jerusalem again, Sunday, April 12.
The Israeli far-right minister was praying the Jewish Talmud while near the Dome of the Rock of the Al Aqsa Mosque complex. Ben-Gvir also admitted that he felt like the owner of the area.
"Today, I feel like the owner here," Ben-Gvir said in a video recording distributed by his ministry, quoted by Al Jazeera.
The Al Aqsa Mosque has been closed since the first Israeli-US attack on Iran on February 28, 2026. Even when Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 arrived, Muslims were prohibited from accessing the mosque.
The same fate also befell Christians. They were prevented from worshiping by entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
Even when Easter 2026 arrives, the Israeli occupation government will hinder the worship of Christians by only allowing 15 members of the clergy to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
"There is still much to be done, much to be improved. I continue to encourage the prime minister to do more. We must continue to improve even higher," said Ben-Gvir.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to Ben-Gvir's efforts to undermine the status quo regarding houses of worship in the Old City of Jerusalem.
"The desecration of his sanctity, the despicable escalation, and the unacceptable provocation," the statement read.
Under an official, decades-old agreement with Muslim authorities, Al Aqsa Mosque is run by a Jordanian religious foundation, and Jews can visit but not worship there.
Previously, Ben-Gvir also entered the Al Aqsa Mosque complex on the 38th day when Muslims were banned from entering one of the Islamic holy sites, namely on Monday, April 6, 2026.
