KUDUS - TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto chaired a limited meeting (ratas) on the handling of COVID-19 cases in Kudus Regency, Central Java as a follow-up to the soaring number of positive corona cases in the region.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the working visit of the TNI Commander with the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito, also attended by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and Kudus Regent HM Hartopo.
In his direction, the TNI Commander asked all parties to work intensively in reducing the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Kudus Regency, so that they returned to the green zone.
"The Regent and the Kudus District Health Office have a responsibility, because currently 60 villages are red zones, in order to become green again, of course they must have a good system," said the TNI Commander in a written statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 6.
The Commander asked the Dandim and the Kudus Police Chief and his staff to assist the Regent, so that a good system for handling COVID-19 in the region is formed.
According to the TNI Commander, other regencies in Central Java have implemented a strategy to thicken the Task Force for the Enforcement of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and improve the function of the post in the Micro PPKM.
The TNI Commander added that the presence of the Head of the Health Service and the Acting Head of the Kudus District Health Office who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 showed that public awareness must be increased so that the SARS-CoV2 virus does not spread further and causes health workers to have to work extra.
"Each village must have one Micro PPKM Command Post so that the red zone turns yellow and eventually becomes green. Its task is to enforce health protocols, assist and record PCR implementation and immediately separate for isolation if it is confirmed positive," said the TNI Commander.
The TNI Commander and the National Police Chief also asked all parties, not only the TNI and Polri, to be more intensive in handling COVID-19 in Kudus, including local community leaders to actively build awareness of health protocol discipline for the community.
