JAKARTA - A man with the initials DS (29) was found dead after drowning in the Cincin reservoir, Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The victim had been missing since Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

When found, the victim was wearing a white T-shirt. The discovery of the victim's body occurred on Wednesday, April 8. The victim's body was found by a joint SAR team that conducted a search at the location.

"His body was found this morning. From his identity it was known that his name was DS (29)," said Tono, a local resident at the location, Wednesday, April 8.

According to Tono, the man who was reported to have drowned was suspected of being a thief who was chased by residents because he was caught breaking into people's houses.

"There was a thief who entered a resident's house, he was caught before he could get away and was finally chased by the crowd, fled to the Ring Lake area, slipped into the lake," he said.

Furthermore, the victim's body was evacuated and taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for further processing.
