"Heavy rain caused the overflowing of the Aih Kulit river, which is in the middle of Pertik Village. The water level is knee-high for adults," said BPBA Head Bahron Bakti, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 1.
As a result of the flood, a number of buildings ranging from residents' houses, schools to public facilities there were flooded with mud.
"Several buildings were submerged in water and mud, namely SMAN 1 Pining, the Pertik Village mosque, and ten units of residents' houses," he said.
So far, the BPBA team is still continuing to help in the field, while for the affected victims, up to the refugees are still being dataed by officers.
"Alhamdulillah there were no casualties, and for the affected victims, and the data on refugees are still being collected," said Bahron Bakti.
