JAKARTA - The Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the TNI Headquarters, Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, said that the investigation process from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) regarding the artillery attack that killed one TNI soldier is ongoing.
"The investigation process is still being carried out by UNIFIL," said Aulia, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 30.
The investigation was carried out to obtain complete information about who the attackers were and the motive behind the attack.
Aulia explained that this attack began with the escalating conflict in the Lebanon region, especially Southern Lebanon.
The escalation of the conflict triggered several attacks, one of which led to the area where the Indonesian contingent of soldiers is located, namely in the city of Adshit al-Qusyar in Lebanon, Sunday (29/3).
As a result, one soldier was declared dead and three other soldiers were lightly to seriously injured.
"Praka Farizal Rhomadhon was declared dead, Praka Rico Pramudia suffered serious injuries, and Praka Bayu Prakoso and Praka Arif Kurniawan suffered minor injuries who are currently receiving medical treatment," explained Aulia.
Until now, the process of returning the body of Praka Farizal to the country from Lebanon is underway. Meanwhile, the other three soldiers have received intensive medical treatment.
With this incident, Aulia ensured that his party would instruct soldiers to increase vigilance in carrying out peace-keeping duties in Lebanon.
