Bali Deputy Governor Optimistic Foreign Tourists Can Enter In July

DENPASAR - Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati or Cok Ace, is optimistic that foreign tourism in Bali will remain open at the end of July 2021.

"Until now there has been no change, we are still putting the plan in July. The target is July", said Cok Ace, in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, June 4.

"I hope so. Even if we are aware after all, it is a decision from the center. But we hope that the government, society, and industry in Bali hope that it will open in July", he added.

Cok Ace explained, the opening of foreign tourism in Bali because his party currently sees the trend of COVID-19 cases has decreased. Meanwhile, the 70 percent vaccination target has gone well and the community is following health protocols.

Therefore, his party also hopes that in Bali they can enter the green zone entirely so that there are no restrictions on movement.

"We have already directed that 70 percent of Bali's population be vaccinated. If it is possible, why not all of Bali be greened so that there are no restrictions on movement. Right, it's not good that there are not to be visited and not to be visited", he added.

Cok Ace also said that there is indeed a sub-bubble, namely areas that can be visited by tourists. The sub-bubble bullae continued throughout Bali, so it would be better.

The Bali Provincial Government and others emphasized that Cok Ace showed seriousness about handling COVID-19 in Bali, especially regarding vaccination.

"We show our seriousness in Bali. One thing about vaccines, we already know that the seriousness of vaccines in Bali is very obedient and very careful. Then, adherence to health care is good, the certification of each industry is also very much in Bali. This is what we show it", he said.

In addition, the Bali Provincial Government has also made a grand design of how the flow of foreign tourists coming and departing from Bali.

"Now the tourism that is being opened is still racing to the three zones. Meanwhile, our target is not only those three zones. We hope that there will be more sub-bubbles in Bali. So, the movement is not only in the three zones. For example in Tanah Lot and Candi Dasa and so on", he said.

"We hope that the vaccine will be fulfilled in Bali and the problem is still the vaccine. Hopefully, the 70 percent target will be achieved in July", said Cok Ace.
