School Revitalization Program 238 Thousand Workers

Jakarta - Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari stated that the school revitalization program implemented by the government not only improves the quality of education, but also provides significant economic impact for the community.

In his statement, Qodari said that 238,131 workers were involved in the program. This was revealed by Qodari at a press conference to update the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC) at the Bina Graha Building of the Presidential Staff Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 25.

In addition to absorbing labor, the school revitalization program also mobilizes around 58 thousand MSMEs in various sectors, such as local building material suppliers to printing and stationery suppliers.

In 2025, the government targets the revitalization of 10,000 schools. However, at the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, the number was increased to 16,167 schools.

As of March 11, 2026, a total of 16,062 schools have completed construction, while another 105 schools are still in the process of completion.

For 2026, the government has allocated a budget of IDR 14.1 trillion for the revitalization of 11,744 educational units. However, the government also plans to increase the target to reach 60 thousand schools.
