JAKARTA - The plan to implement a hybrid school system as an oil fuel (BBM) efficiency strategy has officially garnered sharp criticism. Although it aims for energy savings, the policy is considered risky to sacrifice a fundamental aspect for future generations: the quality of education.

The cancellation of this discourse is seen as a strategic step. The reason is that education is the heart of the future of the nation which should not be made a variable in operational efficiency policies without the readiness of infrastructure and a mature long-term impact study.
