JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) temporarily closed the KM 52B Rest Area on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Japek) in the Jakarta direction, Tuesday, March 24.

The closure was carried out to anticipate the density of vehicles entering the rest area during the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Fitr return period, as well as supporting the smooth flow of traffic.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Ria Marlinda Paallo said the closure of the rest area was carried out based on the police's discretion.

"Currently, the KM 52B Rest Area on the Japek Toll Road has been temporarily closed at the discretion of the police. JTT together with the police continue to monitor traffic conditions periodically and will adjust the arrangement on a situational basis," he said.

The closure policy is situational, adjusting to conditions on the ground and the results of coordination with the police.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol appeals to road users to use alternative rest areas. For users from the direction of Cipularang Toll Road to Jakarta, it is recommended to use the KM 97B, KM 88B, or KM 72B rest areas.

Meanwhile, users from the direction of the Cipali Toll Road can use the rest area at KM 130B or KM 101B.

If the rest area inside the toll is crowded, drivers are also advised to exit through the nearest toll gate to find a place to rest outside the toll road.

In addition, the public is urged not to travel back to the Jabodetabek area at the peak of the return flow, namely on March 24, 28, and 29, 2026, and to take advantage of the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy on March 25-27, 2026.

Road users can also take advantage of a 30 percent toll rate discount on March 26-27, 2026 on nine strategic sections of the Jasa Marga Group.

Previously, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 2,217,462 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area in the period of H-10 to H+1 Idulfitri 1447 Hijriah or March 11-22, 2026.

The number increased by 27.1 percent compared to normal traffic of 1,744,683 vehicles.
