Commercial Director of PTTWCGistang Richard Panutur said the target for visits during the 10-day long Lebaran 2026 holiday was 83,000 tourists, with an average daily visit ranging from 7,000 to 8,500 people per day.

Tourists, according to him, can also enjoy traditional entertainment held in the temple area and in Borobudur Art Village.
Furthermore, to support tourist mobility, he said the management also collaborated with environmentally friendly transportation providers such as scooter and bicycle rentals, which visitors can use to tour the temple outside the core zone.
On Sunday (22/3) or H+1 Lebaran 2026, visitors to Borobudur Temple reached 7,900 people. And on Monday or H+2 Lebaran, at 13.00 WIB, as many as 7,500 tourists have visited the temple which was built in the 8th and 9th centuries AD.
"It is estimated that it will reach 10,000 visitors until the closing of the ticket booth at 17.30 WIB," said Gistang.
