One Way Toll Cipali Preparation Lane Sterilization Officer

JAKARTA - Officers sterilized the lane and area around the rest area on the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road (Cipali) as a step in preparation for the implementation of one-way traffic engineering on the toll road.

Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, said the sterilization was carried out on the Jakarta direction lane and rest areas along the lane.

He explained that the exact time for the one-way traffic engineering would follow the discretion and direction of the police on the ground.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, March 17, traffic flow on the Cipali Toll Road section from Jakarta to Cirebon was observed to be busy and smooth.

Astra Tol Cipali noted that from 00.00 to 13.00 WIB, around 34 thousand vehicles were recorded crossing the Cipali Toll Road from Jakarta to Cirebon.

The traffic volume increased by 24 percent compared to the traffic volume at the same time the day before.

Meanwhile, the flow of vehicles from the opposite direction, there are around 13 thousand vehicles crossing Cikopo to Jakarta, an increase of seven percent compared to the same time the day before.

Ardam said that overall, the traffic volume on the Cipali Toll Road was observed to have increased by 19 percent compared to the volume at the same time the previous day.

Astra Tol Cipali appeals to all road users to always prioritize safety and comply with the instructions of officers in the field during the sterilization period and the implementation of traffic engineering.

Astra Tol Cipali also appealed to road users to limit the maximum rest time to 30 minutes, so that the rest area facilities can be used alternately by other road users.

In addition, road users can also take advantage of facilities outside the toll road by exiting through the nearest toll gate to rest and re-enter without additional charge.
