JAKARTA - The Consultative Body (Bamus) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has set a schedule for a plenary meeting to form a number of special committees (Pansus) on Monday.
In the meeting, the DKI DPRD plans to form five non-regional regulations (non-Perda) Pansus which will discuss various strategic issues in the Capital City.
The five Pansus include the Waste Management Pansus, the Acceleration of the Transfer of Social Facilities and General Facilities (Fasos-Fasum) Pansus, the Agrarian Reform Pansus or PTSL (Complete Systematic Land Registration), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Pansus or Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), and the Parking Management Pansus.
In addition to the agenda for the formation of the Pansus, the DKI DPRD will also hold a Plenary Meeting to Present the Report on the Results of the Second Resuming Period of the Second Session of the 2025-2026 Session Year of the 2026 Budget Year on the same day.
Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Wibi Andrino said the Bamus meeting had agreed on the schedule for the formation of the Pansus, which would be determined through a plenary meeting.
"There will be five sub-committees that we will arrange for the finalization," said Wibi at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Friday, March 13.
According to Wibi, the formation of the five Pansus is a step for the DPRD to follow up on a number of public issues that are currently of concern to the people of Jakarta.
One issue that has been in the spotlight is waste management, especially after the landslide at the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (TPST) which caused casualties.
"Recently we have faced a disaster that is quite heartbreaking. Where there are casualties in Bantar Gebang. He was buried by garbage," said Wibi.
He hopes that the sub-committee that was formed can immediately work effectively even though it has limited time. The results of the discussion are expected to produce recommendations that can serve as a reference for the DPRD and local government in formulating future policies.
