JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated the Transjabodetabek service on the Blok M-Soekarno-Hatta Airport (SH2) route. This route is expected to become an alternative public transportation for people who want to go to the airport.
In the initial stage of operation, Pramono decided to set a tariff of Rp3,500 for three months to welcome the homecoming and mobility of the community ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"For the SH2 Blok M-Soetta Airport route, the DKI Jakarta Government has decided for 3 months, especially in order to welcome Eid al-Fitr, we will set the tariff at Rp. 3,500 for 3 months," said at the inauguration of the route at Blok M Terminal Line 6, Melawai, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 12.
After 3 months, the DKI Provincial Government will evaluate the Transjabodetabek service rate with consideration of between Rp. 10 thousand to Rp. 15 thousand. Pramono admitted that the operational costs of the route were quite large, so the DKI Provincial Government had to set a more expensive tariff to adjust the amount of transport subsidies.
"After that, we will evaluate because the burden is quite heavy and the subsidy is too large. We will increase the figure in the range of Rp10,000 to Rp15,000," said Pramono.
"Why is the range between Rp10,000 to Rp15,000? Because this route is long, the bus is new and (made) specifically for it (the route to the airport), so it needs costs to be incurred," he added.
In addition to toll payments that are crossed by this Transjabodetabek route, there are other operational costs that must be borne, including parking fees for fleets in the airport area.
Although the tariff will be more expensive than the regular Transjakarta service, Pramono assessed that the tariff is still much cheaper than other modes of transportation to the airport.
"I believe that this can be Rp15,000 only, compared to Damri which is Rp80,000 or a taxi which is Rp200,000 more, or through GoCar which is on average above Rp125,000, I believe this will become an alternative favorite for people to use TransJabodetabek, as is the case on the Blok M - Bogor route," he explained.
The Transjabodetabek S2 route includes Blok M Line 6 - Senayan Roundabout 2 - FX Sudirman - Gelora Bung Karno 2 - DPR / MPR 1 - DPR / MPR 2 - Sbr. Sowan Wisata Belanja - Jl. Cengkareng Golf Club 1 - Sewarna Foodhall 1 - Jl. Cengkareng Golf Club 3 - Terminal Kargo 1 - Terminal Kargo 2 - Kantor Soekarno-Hatta.
Meanwhile, the reverse route, Soekarno-Hatta Airport - Block M, includes Soekarno-Hatta Office - Airport Train Station - SHIA Immigration - Cargo Roundabout - Mother Pertiwi School - Swadaya Slipi - BPK Research Library - Sbr. DPR/MPR 1 - Bung Karno 1 - Summitmas - Senayan Roundabout 1 - Block M Line 6.
Thus, passengers of Transjabodetabek who will go to Terminal 1, 2, and 3 will only stop at the Airport Railway Station and continue their journey or transit to the terminal using the sky train for free.
Pramono explained that the estimated journey of the Transjabodetabek SH2 took 121 minutes with a track length of 65.1 kilometers. In total, there were 13 stopping points (bus stops) in Jakarta and 10 points outside Jakarta.
"The number of buses that will be operated is 14 buses, starting from 05.00 to 22.00 WIB so that the waiting time is between 10 to 20 minutes," he said.
Transjabodetabek SH2 operates with a low deck bus model that is commonly used on non-corridor routes. Inside the bus, there is also an area to put several passenger suitcases.
"In the bus itself there is a place to put suitcases, although if people travel with many suitcases, not all suitcases will be able to get their own place, so there are some suitcases that will later be with passengers, that is the consequence," said Pramono.
