Puan asks the DPR Commission I to ask the TNI Commander about Alert 1

JAKARTA - House of Representatives (DPR) Chairwoman Puan Maharani has asked the House of Representatives Commission I to summon the TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, regarding the numerous 'Level 1 Alert' issues that have been widely discussed and have raised public concerns.

Puan asked that Commission I of the DPR as a partner of the TNI ask the Commander about the standby instruction 1.

"Regarding Alert 1, we will ask the relevant commission to ask the TNI about it," said Puan at the DOR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 10.

It is known that the TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, issued Telegram No. TR/283/2026 regarding the Alert 1 order for TNI soldiers. Seven instructions for the Alert 1 Telegram are related to the impact of the United States attack on Iran on the domestic conditions, so it is considered necessary to maintain strict vigilance on vital land transport objects (train stations, terminals, etc.), sea (ports) and air (airports).

Puan assessed that the security apparatus must always be on guard. However, according to him, the reason. the instruction was issued must also be explained so that there is no disinformation.

"It is better that the law enforcement or the TNI are always ready, but if there is an exit letter like that in a situation like this, maybe it is necessary or not," said Puan.

"It's better for the TNI to give a concrete or clear explanation, then it will be asked through the relevant commission," added the PDIP legislator.

Apart from the 1 standby, Puan also asked the government to mitigate the impact of the Iran-US-Israel conflict. One of them is the strongest world oil price which has started to rise by about 25 percent. Then the dollar exchange rate also broke through the highest price of Rp. 17,000.

"We have asked the government both directly and indirectly to mitigate this. And today the DPR has started to enter or start the trial, of course later in the related Commission will ask its partners or the government to mitigate this so that the 2026 State Budget can later adjust to the global situation that is currently happening at this time," explained Puan.
