Rejang Lebong Regent Brought to the KPK Red and White Building This Morning

JAKARTA - Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari was taken to the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta this morning, Tuesday, March 10. He was taken by officers after being caught in a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Monday night.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo confirmed that the parties who were secured in the silent operation were on their way to Jakarta for further examination.

"One of them is the Regent of Rejang Lebong," said Budi through his written statement to reporters, Tuesday, March 10.

Muhammad Fikri and a number of other parties are known to have flown from Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu, since 06.00 WIB. They are expected to arrive at the anti-corruption commission headquarters before noon to determine their legal status.

The temporary information collected, Muhammad Fikri Thobari and the party who were secured were taken by the officers using an aircraft. They were sent from Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu.

Until now, the anti-corruption commission has not announced in detail the silent operation nor who else has been secured. However, Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto said that there was money that was also secured in this silent operation.

"There is (money secured in the activity, ed)," he said when confirmed separately.

Currently, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the parties who have been secured in accordance with legal regulations. The announcement of the suspects and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.

The anti-corruption commission is known to have just held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) and ensnared the Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq last week or Tuesday, March 3. He was charged with conflict of interest and alleged gratification.

In this case, Fadia through his family's company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (PT RNB) is suspected of monopolizing outsourcing services and goods projects in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. He is also suspected of receiving other gifts while in office.

PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya was established after Fadia took office or precisely in 2022 with her husband, Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu as a Member of the Indonesian Parliament and Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff, a legislator for the Lamongan Regency DPRD, who is her son.
