JAKARTA - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) M. Qodari said that as many as 1,408 madrasah facilities in Indonesia have met the criteria for revitalization.
"A total of 2,120 madrasahs have been proposed in the revitalization program. Of these, 1,408 madrasahs meet the criteria," said Head of KSP Qodari as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 9.
He said the implementation of revitalization was included in the Best Quick Results Program (PHTC) package of Madrasah for the period 2026 which was carried out by the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag).
According to Qodari, this program is designed to improve the quality of madrasah education facilities and infrastructure, as well as expand public access to more decent education facilities.
"The implementation scheme is carried out through a selective approach. This program supports the improvement of the quality of religious education," said Qodari.
He explained that the implementation of the program uses two financing schemes, namely 556 projects with Single Year Contract (SYC) and 852 projects with Multi Year Contract (MYC).
Qodari said that the scheme allows for budgetary flexibility so that the process of building and improving facilities can run more effectively and remain in accordance with applicable regulatory provisions.
In addition to strengthening the quality of madrasah-based education, Qodari said, this revitalization program is also expected to provide wider economic impact.
He added that all stages of the revitalization implementation, including the process of monitoring and supervising the budget, were carried out strictly so that the program ran transparently, accounted for, and provided maximum benefits for the community.
