Five Rizieq Shihab Sympathizers Arrested From Karawang, Questioned At The East Jakarta Police J

JAKARTA - The police have arrested five suspicious Rizieq Shihab sympathizers in the East Jakarta District Court area. Five of them, one of them a woman.

The East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erwin Kurniwan, said that based on the initial inspection, no sharp weapons were found. It's just that they are being investigated intensively at the East Jakarta Police.

"There are no (sharp weapons), they are from Karawang," Erwin told reporters, Thursday, June 3.

Erwin said the arrest occurred when the duty officer became suspicious of the car they were driving. The reason is that their cars have circled the East Jakarta District Court four times. In addition, they took photos of the East Jakarta District Court Building.

"We are still investigating the motive behind the person passing by in front of the East Jakarta District Court and taking pictures," said Erwin.

On this occasion, Erwin conveyed that the arrests of five Rizieq Shihab sympathizers were carried out this morning. The arrests were made after they circled the East Jakarta District Court four times and took photos.

"So we are trying to identify with our authority to check the identity of the car and it is suspected to be MRS sympathizers and friends," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Erwin Kurniwan

For information, Rizieq Shihab was sentenced to 6 years in prison in the case of a swab test result at the UMMI Hospital. Meanwhile, Hanif Alatas was sentenced to 2 years in prison.

Both of them are considered to have legally and convincingly committed a violation of spreading false news about Rizieq Shihab's health condition.
