BGN Fired Head of SPPG in Lampung Allegedly Involved in the Case of Sexual Assault of Elementary School Students

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) fired the head of the Tanjung Kesuma Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), East Lampung Regency, who was suspected of being involved in a case of sexual abuse of a child.

Deputy Head of BGN Nanik Sudaryati Deyang emphasized that his party would immediately follow up after receiving an official report regarding the incident and ensure that the person concerned had been secured by the police for further legal proceedings.

"As soon as we received the report and confirmed that the perpetrator had been secured by the police, BGN immediately decided to dismiss the person concerned from his position as head of the SPPG. We do not tolerate actions that violate the law and harm human values," said Nanik as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 6.

BGN emphasized that it does not tolerate any form of violence or crime against children, especially if it is carried out by individuals involved in the implementation of public service programs.

This case is a serious concern because it is contrary to the values of integrity and moral responsibility that must be possessed by every government program implementer.

In addition, BGN also fully supports the ongoing legal process and leaves the handling of the case to law enforcement officials so that it can be processed transparently and in accordance with applicable regulations.

"BGN respects the legal process carried out by the police. We hope that this case can be processed thoroughly so that it provides justice for the victims and becomes a serious lesson for all parties," he said.

Nanik said BGN also continues to evaluate internal selection mechanisms and supervision of human resources involved in SPPG operations in various regions.

"This incident is a momentum for us to strengthen the selection, training, and supervision process for all program implementers in the field so that the standards of integrity, morality, and professionalism are maintained," he said.

BGN also ensures that the MBG Program service in the East Lampung area continues to run normally after the appointment of a replacement for the position of head of the SPPG.

Previously, it was known that the head of SPPG Tanjung Kesuma with the initials DD was arrested by the police for molesting a nine-year-old elementary school student. The incident occurred on January 30, 2026.
