JAKARTA - The Chairman of the PKB and Coordinating Minister for People's Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin emphasized that the government wants to maintain unity in the midst of a warming global situation, including the American-Iranian war and international geopolitical dynamics. He emphasized that in the midst of global pressure, Indonesia must not be easily divided.

"Whatever the condition, the American-Iranian war, the geopolitical map condition, we remain strong, united, solid, not easily divided," Cak Imin said at the Presidential Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, March 5, 2026. He added, "the important thing is everything the President does is for the national interest."

Asked whether the meeting also discussed the Board of Peace, Cak Imin answered briefly, "Of course." However, he rejected the framing that the BoP was the ultimate goal. According to him, the BoP is only one way to help the Palestinians. "BoP is only one way to help the Palestinians," he said.

When pressed about the commitment, whether Indonesia would still stay at the BoP, Cak Imin did not give a detailed answer. He also did not confirm whether all the ulama who attended agreed. "Ask the people inside," he said.

Regarding the possibility of Indonesia's further helping the Palestinians, including the issue of sending troops, Cak Imin did not answer in detail. He asked the public to wait. "Yes, we wait for Indonesia's optimism to have a more in-depth role in helping our brothers in Palestine," he said.

When asked if there was a proposal for "another path" from ulama other than BoP, Cak Imin again refrained. "Ask him. I won't answer," he said.
