Dirkrimsus Polda Aceh Dismissed, Police: Made A Fatal Mistake, Propam Still Investigating

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that Kombes Margiyanta was removed from his position as Director of Special Crimes (Dirkrimsus) of the Aceh Police for making a fatal mistake. The dismissal is a consequence of all that has been done.

"For members who make mistakes in carrying out their duties, of course they must be held accountable for these mistakes," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Thursday, June 3.

This removal, continued Rusdi, is a commitment of the National Police to give punishment to any member of the Police who made a mistake. Because, in this way the Police can continue to develop to create a sense of security and comfort for the community.

"Whoever it is from the lowest level to the highest level of course the responsibility for what is carried out must be accountable to anyone," said Rusdi.

However, Rusdi did not explain in detail the mistakes made by Kombes Margiyanta. It is only conveyed, if the Propam Division is still investigating the problem.

"Later we will investigate from Propam because everything is still in the process. We are still seeing all these mistakes," he said.

For information, Kombes Margiyanta was removed from his position based on the Chief of Police's telegram letter numbered ST/1129/VI/KEP/202.

In the letter, Kombes Margiyanta was transferred as an Intermediate Officer (Pamen) of the Police Headquarters Service (Yanma). In fact, it was also written that the transfer was in double examination.
