Two Debt Collectors Who Stabbed a Customer in Banten are Still DPO, Police Reveal Their Role

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya revealed the role of a number of suspects who are on the wanted list (DPO) related to the stabbing case of a lawyer in the Kelapa Dua District, South Tangerang (Tangerang), which occurred on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, in his statement, Monday, said there were two DPO suspects, namely SS and HK alias Hanter.

"DPO with the initials SS is tasked with holding the Power of Attorney and plays a role in intimidating by glaring at the victim when trying to withdraw a car on the victim's porch," said Budi.

Meanwhile, DPO with the initials HK alias Hanter is tasked with tracking addresses through the Global Positioning System (GPS) and documentation, as well as intimidating the victim by glaring at the victim when trying to withdraw a car on the victim's porch.

"The whereabouts of the two DPOs are still in the process of being searched," said Budi.

As is known, the Metro Jaya Police is hunting down two suspected perpetrators related to the stabbing incident of a lawyer in the Kelapa Dua District, South Tangerang, which occurred on Monday (23/2).

"For the two people we are still pursuing," said Budi.

Previously, the Subdit Jatanras of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya arrested the alleged perpetrator of stabbing a lawyer in the Kelapa Dua District, South Tangerang, on Monday (23/2).

"The alleged perpetrator with the initials JBI was arrested on Tuesday (24/2) at 23.50 WIB in Semarang, Central Java," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, Wednesday (25/2).

He said the victim with the initials BS suffered serious stab wounds after getting into a dispute with a number of unknown people who claimed to be debt collectors related to the withdrawal of vehicles.
