JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) have launched Learning Implementation Guidelines for Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, and Secondary Education (PAUDdikdasmen) during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In his remarks, Minister of Education and Technology Nadiem Makarim admitted that there were still a number of schools that were afraid to hold limited face-to-face learning (PTM) due to COVID-19.
In fact, there are still schools in areas with green zones or without any cases of COVID-19 that still have not opened their schools even though they have been allowed to.
"I can understand the concerns of mothers and fathers as teachers, educators, and parents in particular, regarding the health and safety of our children," said Nadiem at the virtual launch of the guide, Wednesday, June 2.

Furthermore, Nadiem explained that the complete guide to studying in schools during this pandemic period is a tool for teachers and education personnel at the PAUDdikdasmen level in facilitating preparation for the implementation of limited PTM.
“We hope that this guide can be studied carefully and implemented as best as possible for the benefit of all of us. I will also not stop reminding the importance of collaboration of all parties in the implementation of limited PTM. Let us continue to remember that Indonesia's recovery is in our hands," he explained.
Continuing, Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas also welcomed and fully supported the launch of the Learning Implementation Guide for Early Childhood Education during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
"I believe this guide has been eagerly awaited not only by teachers and students but also by parents of students and society in general," said Yaqut.
