JAKARTA - The PDI-P has revoked the recommendations and support that had been given to the Regent and Deputy Regent of Alor, East Nusa Tenggara, Amon Djobo and Imran Duru.

This action was the aftermath of Amon's actions to scold and expel two of the Social Minister's subordinates, Tri Rismaharini, from his official residence.

The revocation of this recommendation was stated in a letter numbered 2922/IN/DPP/VI/2021 which was signed by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP for Party Honor Komarudin Watubun and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on June 2, 2021.

"The PDIP DPP has withdrawn its recommendation and support to the Regent and Deputy Regent of Alor, the couple Amon Djobo and Imran Duru, considering that the Regent is not a PDIP cadre and so cannot be dismissed," the letter said, quoted on Wednesday, June 2.

Through this letter, the PDIP Central Executive Board (DPP) also instructed the Alor PDI-P DPC to coordinate with all ranks of the PDI-P faction in the DPRD to take a stand against the regent in the process of administering the government in Alor Regency.

Regarding the revocation of this support, Member of the DPR from the PDIP faction, Andreas Hugo Pareira, considered that this was done because the actions taken by Amon Djobo were inappropriate.

"Moreover, accompanied by very dirty swear words accompanied by threats which are a form of verbal violence that is inappropriate for an official at the regent's level," he said.

Moreover, this incident is not the only time. According to Andreas, the actions taken by Amon had already happened to a mid-ranking officer of the Udayana Kodam with the rank of colonel.

He hoped the behavior should be a cause for concern. This is because the regent, who is supposed to be a role model for the community, actually displays a brutality of temperament and emotion.

"This needs to be the concern of all parties so that the regent who spit brutal insults received legal and political sanctions so as not to repeat his brutal behavior," he said.

Regent Amon Djobo's anger was widely circulated on social media. In the video, which lasts 3 minutes 9 seconds, Amon, who is wearing a batik shirt, is seen scolding the staff of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Not only that, he also seemed to expel the Ministry of Social staff to immediately leave Alor and had time to say inappropriate words towards Risma in front of his subordinates.

"If the official thinks first and then speaks, then the mouth should not be faster than the mind," said Amon in the video.
