JAKARTA - The body of an unidentified woman was found floating in the Ancol River, Pademangan District, North Jakarta.

When it was first found, the condition of the body of the unidentified woman was already in a deplorable state. Her body had swollen and emitted an unpleasant odor.

The victim is estimated to have been in the Ancol River for 3 days so that his body was already swollen.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police, AKP Muhaiyin Ikhsan confirmed the discovery of the body.

"Yes, the female victim has now been sent to the hospital for an autopsy," said AKP Ikhsan when confirmed, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

On the victim's body, continued the detective, there were no signs of violence.

However, his party is still waiting for the official results from the hospital to find out the exact cause of the victim's death.

"No identity was found on the victim's body. His face was hard to recognize. The surrounding residents also did not recognize the victim," he said.

Furthermore, the victim's body was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the case is still being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pademangan Police.
