Swiss Woman Becomes Victim of Robbery in Ubud Bali, Gold Necklace Worth Rp91 Million Was Taken Away

GIANYAR - A foreign citizen (WNA) from Switzerland, with the initials MK (25) became a victim of robbery on Jalan Tirta Tawar, Petulu Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

The victim MK suffered a loss of more than IDR 91 million and immediately reported it to the police.

"The loss is approximately Rp. 91,032,527," said the Acting (PS) Head of Public Relations of the Gianyar Police, Ipda Gusti Ngurah Suardita, Monday, February 2.

One of the perpetrators of the robbery was arrested. The perpetrator with the initials KY (20) was arrested at his home in Tianyar Village, Kubu District, Karangasem Regency, on Sunday (1/2).

Meanwhile, the other perpetrator with the initials WD is still being hunted by the police.

Chronologically, on Sunday (25/1) afternoon, the victim was driving on Jalan Tirta Tawar, Banjar Kutuh Kaja, Ubud. There were two men riding a motorcycle who hit the victim.

One of the perpetrators pulled the victim's gold necklace.

"After carrying out the action, the two people immediately left at high speed," said Suardita.

Through the victim's report, the police immediately carried out crime scene investigation and investigation by examining CCTV footage. Armed with witness statements and information obtained, the whereabouts of the two perpetrators were in Tianyar Village.

The police then went to the perpetrator's house to make an arrest.

For the evidence secured, 1 unit of Honda PCX motorcycle in black without police number, 1 piece of green hoodie jacket, 1 piece of CCTV video recording.

"Currently, one perpetrator and evidence have been secured at the Ubud Police for further investigation," he said.

The perpetrator of the KY was charged with Article 479a yat (1) subsidiary to Article 477 paragraph (1) letter g of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
