Prabowo will evaluate the One Year Government Program at Rakornas

BOGOR - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to give a briefing on the evaluation of the course of government in the past year, at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Central and Regional Governments at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java.

"There will be emphasis on several programs that have been successfully achieved in a period of one year, of course, must be maintained and improved. Then there are also several programs that have not been achieved in the first year, which may be part of his emphasis," said Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi at the location of the event. reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 2.

Prasetyo said the President would convey directions and policy guidelines to all levels of local government.

According to him, President Prabowo views this Rakornas as a momentum to unite the steps, visions, and perceptions between the central and regional governments in carrying out the government agenda.

In addition, the forum was also used to discuss various problems that require a common solution so that it can be followed up in a concrete manner.

On this occasion, he said, the President is expected to deliver an update on views related to international geopolitical dynamics as well as the development of domestic conditions.

The Head of State's instructions will also emphasize the government must be free from corruption practices.

"Including I also suspect it is related to our commitment to good governance, eradicating and fighting as hard as possible to run the government without corruption, it has always been a concern for the President," he said.

Prasetyo said the 2026 Central and Regional Government Rakornas would likely take place behind closed doors.

"Maybe it's closed," he said.

Prasetyo added that the Rakornas held by the Ministry of Home Affairs was a routine annual agenda that brought together the central government with provincial and district/city governments.

The forum was fully attended by governors and deputy governors, regents and deputy regents, mayors and deputy mayors, and elements of the forum for coordination of regional leaders.

The implementation of the 2026 National Coordination Meeting between the Central and Regional Governments is a strategic agenda for the government in bringing together central and regional government elements in one national coordination forum.

The Rakornas is expected to be attended by around 4,473 participants from across Indonesia, consisting of heads of ministries and agencies, governors, regents, and mayors, heads of DPRD, and elements of the forum for coordination of regional leaders (forkopimda).

This forum is designed to strengthen policy synergies between the central and regional governments, as well as to align the implementation of national development programs with the needs and conditions in the region.
