Allegedly molested a woman in a restaurant, the Special Staff of the North Sulawesi Governor was immediately fired

MANADO - North Sulawesi (Sulut) Governor Yulius Selvanus Komaling (YSK) took firm action by firing a Special Staff for Mining with the initials DD alias Daniel. This quick step was taken following the emergence of alleged sexual harassment involving the individual.

The decision to dismiss DD was confirmed directly by the Acting Head of the North Sulawesi Communication and Information Service (Kominfo), Denny Mangala, on Sunday, February 1. He confirmed that the unseemly action allegedly committed by DD was a personal matter and outside the knowledge of the governor.

"The governor is very sorry about this. He did not know about the action because it was a personal matter. At the direct order of the governor, the person concerned was officially dismissed from his post," said Denny Mangala.

The North Sulawesi Provincial Government (Pemprov) ensures that it will not provide protection or "stand up" for the individual. Denny emphasized that all legal processes were left entirely to the police without bureaucratic interference.

Based on the information summarized, the alleged sexual harassment occurred at a restaurant in the Sario area, Manado City. DD allegedly committed indecent acts by touching the sensitive part of a 21-year-old woman.

The victim, who felt harassed, reportedly resisted spontaneously by spraying the head of the alleged perpetrator with water at the scene. Not stopping there, the victim immediately filed a formal report with the Manado Police to demand justice.

Currently, the Manado Police investigators are conducting an in-depth investigation of the case. The police have also begun to call a number of witnesses who were at the scene to complete the case file.
