JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia has again recorded a proud achievement in the implementation of public services by achieving the Highest Quality Opinion (Ministry Category) from the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia.
The award given on Thursday (29/1) confirms the consistency of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in maintaining the quality of professional, transparent, and free public service from maladministration practices.
The assessment process was carried out by the Consular Directorate and the Directorate of Protection of Indonesian Citizens, both of which are working units in the Directorate General of Protocol and Consular Affairs (DJPK).
Based on the assessment carried out in October 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the highest quality award for the Ministry category. This assessment was carried out on 38 Ministries, of which five Ministries received the highest quality opinion without maladministration, and three Ministries (including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) received the highest quality opinion.
This achievement complements the positive track record of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the assessment of public services. In 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs managed to achieve the first rank in the Green Zone Award for Public Services and in 2024 achieved the third rank, which shows a high level of compliance with public service standards and a continued commitment to improving service quality.
Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Andy Rahmianto, who represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that this achievement was the result of the strengthening of public service governance that was carried out consistently.
"The Highest Quality Opinion 2025 from the Indonesian Ombudsman, as well as the achievement of the Green Zone in 2024, is an acknowledgment of the commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - especially the Directorate General of Protocol and Consular - in providing public services that not only meet standards, but are also carried out with integrity and free from maladministration practices," explained Ambassador Andy.
Starting in 2025, the Indonesian Ombudsman will transform the assessment approach from the Public Service Compliance Survey to the Public Service Implementation Oversight Opinion, where awards are given to the locus with the Highest Quality Without Maladministration and the Highest Quality, which are divided into 5 categories, namely Ministries, Institutions, Provinces, City Governments, and Regency Governments.
This approach emphasizes that quality public services must be accompanied by integrity of procedures and free from maladministration in order to ensure legal certainty and protect the public from potential losses.
The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to continue improving the quality of service and protection of Indonesian citizens, as part of efforts to strengthen public confidence and ensure the presence of the state in every service provided to the community, both within and throughout the Indonesian Representative abroad.
