BATU - Mayor of Batu Dewanti Rumpoko will hold a meeting with senior high schools regarding cases of alleged sexual violence against dozens of students.

Dewanti said that until now her party had not been able to meet with the school, including the victims who had reported the alleged act of sexual violence to the East Java Regional Police.

"As far as the truth goes, I haven't been able to meet anyone, including the victim, and the school," Dewanti said, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 31.

Dewanti stated that she had communicated with the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) regarding reports of extraordinary crimes committed by one of the owners with the initials JE, against dozens of students.

Based on the information he received, the victim was still under protection, so no one could be found. Meanwhile, the school stated that it is currently carrying out official activities outside the city.

"Still can't be found, hopefully today a meeting can be held and communication," continued Dewanti.

The National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA), on Saturday, May 29, reported the findings of an alleged extraordinary crime to the East Java Police. The violence was allegedly carried out by the owner of a school in the Batu City area.

The school owner is accused of sexual, physical, verbal and economic exploitation of dozens to dozens of students.

The general chairman of Komnas PA, Arist Merdeka Sirait, reported the findings to the East Java Regional Police.

Komnas PA received a report last week from one of the victims. After that, Komnas PA followed up by collecting other information from students and alumni spread across Indonesia.

Based on Komnas PA records, at least 15 students have claimed to be victims of the violence. When reporting to the East Java Police, Komnas PA accompanied three students who were victims of the violence.
