JAKARTA - A trilateral security group meeting between Russia, the United States (US) and Ukraine is scheduled to take place on February 1 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

"Yes, February 1, for the time being, but for now we will follow up on it from there," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday, January 28, while saying the meeting would take place again in Abu Dhabi.

The Kremlin spokesman added that discussing details of resolving the conflict openly would only interfere with negotiations.

"We are not discussing any list of documents. We believe that all this should be done secretly, behind closed doors - and that is what is happening," Peskov said, quoted by Sputnik.

"The Russian delegation has routinely received instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin," the spokesperson added.

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday (11/1) demanded that Europe hand over their air defense missile reserves to his country.

"The main priority is air defense missiles... new contributions from partners to the necessary PURL [Priority List of Needs of Ukraine] initiative, as well as deliveries from stocks in Europe: the missiles are in the warehouses, and we know all that," Zelenskyy said in a video message published on his Telegram account.

Russia has repeatedly stated that Western arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the resolution of the military conflict and make NATO countries parties to the crisis.
