According to Donny, based on initial information, the cause of death of the five participants was different. Some participants are suspected of being exhausted due to changes in lifestyle from a civilian environment to a more disciplined life in military barracks.
In addition, there were participants who had congenital diseases even though they had previously undergone a health examination and were declared eligible to attend the education. Weather factors are also suspected to have an impact on the health condition of the participants.
"Maybe the weather and so on caused the condition to be limited, so the person concerned eventually died," he said.
Donny added that there were participants who had a history of lung and heart disease. In relation to this condition, the Ministry of Health has taken anticipatory steps to prevent the possibility of transmission of lung disease to other participants.
He emphasized that the results of the investigation were needed as an evaluation material to improve the implementation of SPPI education in the future.
"The point is that we want it to be completed as soon as possible because the results of this investigation are also important for us to use in the implementation of current education," said Donny.
