JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Satpol PP permanently sealed the Wisma Prima inn on Jalan Mangga Besar IV, Tamansari Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta. This closure was carried out due to the findings of the practice of prostitution of minors.

Head of the PPNS Division of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Eko Saptono, said that this action was carried out after the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) recommended that Wisma Prima's business license be permanently closed.

"After Parekraf makes a recommendation, then submits it to the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP on May 24, 2021 to close the Wisma Prima Hotel," Eko told reporters, Monday, May 31.

When the lodging business license was revoked by the DKI Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP), Eko emphasized that the management of Wisma Prima was prohibited from continuing its business activities.

"What we did was (the closure) was permanent. The permit was revoked by PTSP. It means that there are no activities or activities here," said Eko.

For information, this inn with an orange building initially offered daily and monthly lodging accommodations.

In front of the building, there is a banner that reads lodging at a price of IDR 130 thousand per night. Wisma Prima Inn offers lodging facilities with private bathrooms, AC, TV, and hot water.

Until finally, Polda Metro Jaya conducted a raid and found online prostitution in the inn. From the results of the raid on Thursday, May 20, 34 people suspected of being involved in online prostitution were arrested.

In fact, some of those arrested were still under the age of 16 and 17. The police confiscated evidence in the form of cash amounting to IDR 450 thousand, contraceptive devices, hotel bills, and cellphones.

In addition, the police also arrested a man at the location. Allegedly, the man was a prostitution jockey. The mode is that the offer of underage prostitution is done online or the open BO system.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 76 I in conjunction with Article 88 of RI Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Indonesian Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and or Article 2 paragraph (1) of RI Law No. 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons and or Article 27 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 45 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning ITE and or Article 296 of the Criminal Code and or Article 506 of the Criminal Code.
