DENPASAR - The Denpasar City Government is conducting a data collection on the material losses suffered by residents affected by the tornado that hit Denpasar City on Wednesday (21/1) morning.
Deputy Mayor of Denpasar I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa while conducting an inspection at several locations on Wednesday such as the Sidakarya Village area, the Kesiman Village area, and also the Sanur Kauh Village area stated that most of the buildings and houses of residents affected by this tornado had minor to moderate damage, both on the roof and tiles, walls and residents' Pelinggih areas.
Arya Wibawa also coordinated several related services, including the BPBD, Fire Department, DLHK, Social Services and other related services to immediately conduct data collection and assessment of the houses of victims affected by the tornado disaster.
"BPBD and the Social Service through the Tagana Team will immediately carry out data collection and assessment. This is an important thing to immediately know how much damage the residents have suffered," said Arya Wibawa, Wednesday, January 21.
Arya Wibawa also ordered the relevant services, in collaboration with local residents, to clean up the post-disaster location.
This is because some of the debris of the wall ruins, tree branches and leaves, tiles, asbestos and other materials are seen filling several points in residents' homes and access to residential alleys.
"We will focus on cleaning the disaster site. Related agencies such as DLHK and others will be deployed to help residents clean up here," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Denpasar City BPBD, Ida Bagus Joni Arimbawa, stated that the BPBD team was still conducting data collection in the field to find out whether there were any additional numbers of residents' houses affected by this disaster.
From the results of data collection in the field, at three locations in the area, at least 63 buildings and residents' houses were affected by this tornado.
"It is recorded that 21 houses of residents affected by this disaster are in Sidakarya Village, then 27 buildings and houses of residents in Kesiman Village, and 15 in the Sanur Kauh Village area. We will conduct a data collection again to find out whether there is an addition to the data of houses of residents who have suffered damage due to this disaster," he said.
Arimbawa then detailed, the location of the Sidakarya Village is in the Kenari gang area, and its surroundings.
Meanwhile, in Kesiman Village, the location is on Pakis Aji Street, and in the village of Sanur Kauh itself, the location of this disaster is in the Tunggak Bingin area.
"Just like in the Sidakarya and Kesiman areas, the average residents' houses suffered damage to the roof tiles, walls, and Pelinggih areas," said Joni Arimbawa.
