Sulsel Governor Allocates Rp2.5 Billion Budget for ATR42-500 Search

MAKASSAR - South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman allocated Rp2.5 billion in disaster operations funds to support the entire search for the ATR42-500 aircraft in Mount Bulusaraung, Pangkep Regency.

Governor Andi Sudirman said the budget was intended for the deployment of search personnel from various elements involved.

"We allocated around Rp. 2.5 billion in disaster assistance in the deployment of ATR 42-500 search personnel," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 20.

He explained that the dana includes daily logistics financing for personnel, fulfillment of operational needs, and other technical support during the search process.

According to him, the smoothness of logistics is an important factor so that the search can be carried out continuously and optimally.

In addition to budgetary support, Governor Andi Sudirman also ensured that he had sent disaster teams and health teams to the location, complete with ambulances and other supporting facilities to support field needs.

This step, said Andi Sudirman, is part of the local government's efforts to ensure that all personnel on duty receive maximum support, both in terms of safety, health, and availability of logistics.

This is also, he continued, the full commitment of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government (Pemprov) in supporting the search operation for the ATR 42-500 aircraft that crashed in the Maros-Pangkep Regency area a few days ago.

"And of course we will continue to search as much as possible," said the South Sulawesi Governor.
