SEMARANG - A joint SAR team has successfully evacuated the body of Syafiq Ridhan Ali Razan (18), a climber of Mount Slamet in Purbalingga Regency, who had been missing since December 30 after being previously hampered by bad weather after being found.

Head of the Semarang SAR Office Budiono said the victim was found on Wednesday (14/1) around post 9 area, not far from the vegetation border.

"The position of the victim who fell was on the south side of the slope on the down path to the Malang Mountain base camp," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 15.

The location, he said, was not the victim's climbing route via the Dipajaya base camp.

The evacuation process could not be carried out immediately due to weather factors and thick fog and could only be carried out today.

"Evacuation cannot be carried out immediately due to safety factors," he added.

According to him, the SAR team evacuated the victim from a 20-meter deep ravine.

He said the condition of the victim's body was found intact.

The body, he continued, was evacuated from the Malang Mountain base camp in Purbalingga Regency.

As for the cause of the victim's death, he said, it would be conveyed by officers from Goeteng Purbalingga Hospital.

Previously, a climber named Syafiq Ridhan Ali Razan was reported missing on Mount Slamet since December 30, 2025.

The Magelang SMAN 5 student was found dead after 16 days of search.
