Regarding Komika Pandji, Reported to the Police, Minister of Law and Human Rights: I Don't Know Yet

JAKARTA - Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas admitted that he did not know the details of the case of comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono who was reported to the police.

He also did not want to comment further regarding the alleged criminal elements reported.

"I don't know yet, we'll see what the case is," he said at the Ministry of Law Office, Jakarta, Friday, quoted by Antara.

Previously, single comedian or comedian, Pandji Pragiwaksono was reported by a party on behalf of the Young Force of Nahdlatul Ulama and the Young Alliance of Muhammadiyah to the Polda Metro Jaya regarding allegations of defamation of the Islamic organization.

"We consider that the person I reported, whose initials are P, is considered to have spread issues that are not positive, has degraded, defamed, especially the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia, namely NU and Muhammadiyah," said the reporter Rizki Abdul Rahman Wahid who represented the Young Generation of Nahdhatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, January 9.

Rizki also explained that in his narration the reporter considered that NU and Muhammadiyah were involved in practical politics.

Polda Metro Jaya also stated that it would analyze a number of evidence regarding the case of reporting comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono regarding defamation of the Islamic organization.

Separately, the General Manager of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) and the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah emphasized that the group that reported the comic Pandji Pragiwaksono to the police was not part of the official organization.

The Chairman of PBNU, Ulil Abshar Abdalla, said that since long ago, many groups or individuals have carried out various activities in the name of NU.

"But, from the beginning, many people have done this in the name of NU. Because NU is open, yes, anyone can make an institution in the name of NU," he said as quoted in the official PBNU in Jakarta, Friday, quoted by Antara.
